Mobile Application Development
Crafting mobile apps that drive success and engagement
The process of developing software applications for mobile devices is known as mobile application development. Typically, a mobile application uses a network connection to access remote computing resources. Installable software bundles (code, binaries, assets, etc.) are therefore created, backend services like data access via an API are implemented, and the application is tested on target devices as part of the mobile development process.
Device Platforms and Mobile Applications
In the current smartphone market, there are two main platforms. One is Apple Inc.’s iOS platform. The popular iPhone smartphone range from Apple is powered by the iOS software. Google’s Android comes in second. Many other OEMs use the Android operating system to create their own smartphones and other smart devices in addition to Google devices.
While there are some similarities between the two platforms when it comes to application development, the software development kits (SDKs) and development toolchains used for iOS and Android are distinct. Google makes Android available to other businesses as long as they fulfill certain standards, such having specific Google apps on the devices they sell, whereas Apple only utilizes iOS for its own devices. By focusing on both platforms, developers may create apps for hundreds of millions of devices.
